Rare Disease Day 2019

February 28th 2019 marks the twelfth Rare Disease Day

Our event during 2019 Rare Disease Day will focus on spreading awareness on our condition.
We all know that because of the fact that BCM is a rare genetic disease, most clinicians do not know enough about it, which leads to a long time between detecting symptoms and determining a correct diagnosis.

Although we are rare, we still have the power to help change all of this. That is why, on the 28th of February we invite you all to reach your local hospital where an Ophtalmology Unit can be found and bring with you our Rare Disease Day Flyers, handing them over to a Clinician.

We also invite you to take a picture with the Clinician you meet and post it on our Facebook page.
We will then upload it to the Rare Disease Projects Page.

The best picture will win one of our bags, with a cap and bracelets, so be creative!
